How can I become a Real Estate Agent?
You must take the required pre-licensing course and pass the course exams then you must pass the state licensing exam and finally you must affiliate with a real estate broker. Your license will only become active after you have affiliated.

DE – 99 hours
PA - 2/30 hour sessions

Do you have Financial Aid?
No, the class must be paid in full at the time of registration.

Are there any scholarships available?
a. Yes, we do offer a Military Scholarship to active military, veterans, spouses and children of veterans or active military personnel. To learn more about the P. Wesley Foster Military Service Scholarship, speak with the office manager at your local Long & Foster | Christie's office. You will be required to provide proof of military service (it can be a military ID, discharge papers, etc.). Find your local LNF office here

What forms of payment do you accept?
Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

What is the difference between live classroom and on-line courses?
On-line classes are completely self-paced and can be taken in the comfort of your own home. Live classes have an in person instructor and a structured class schedule.

Do you offer a blended program that includes some online classes and some live classes?
No, though both programs offer the same materials, they are kept strictly separate due to state regulations.

What is the cost of the classes?
MD, VA, or DC classroom course price is $199 for tuition and books. The PA classroom course is $249 for tuition and books. The DE classroom course is $475 for tuition and books. Online courses start at $249 and up depending on which state and which class package you choose.

How long does it take to complete the course and become licensed?
Classes may be completed in as little as 2 weeks or may take as long as 2 months depending on which class you choose. All classes will cover the required hours of that state.

When are classes held?
We offer Weekday, Evening, Weekend and Evening/Saturday classes. Our locations may offer a specific class (such as Weekend classes only) or they may offer several choices.

Where are the classes held?
We offer classes in a variety of locations all around our 7 state footprint. Please see our calendar list for the all available training locations.

How can I register for the classes?
For live classes, you can register using the on-line registration process. After finding a class schedule that looks good, simply click on the class and use the register right there. For Online classes, simply click on the state you are interested in and follow the registration process.

What is the dress code for the pre-licensing classes?
Business casual attire is recommended. Most of our classes are held in our sales offices so please refrain from wearing shorts, flip flops or other very casual attire.

Can I tape record or video tape the classes?
Recording of any kind is not permitted in the classrooms.

What do I need to bring to the class?
Paper, pen, pencils and a highlighter are recommended.

Will I need to attend all of the pre-licensing classes?
Yes, in order to receive a certificate of completion, you must attend all classes and pass the final exam within the given time frame for each state. If not completed within that time, student must repay tuition only and retake the entire course to receive credit.

MD – Classes and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the first scheduled class date.
DC – Classes and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the first scheduled class date.
VA – Class and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the first day of class attended.
NJ – Class and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the first day of class.
DE – Class and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the date of first class attended.
PA – Class and Exams must be completed within 3 months from the first day of class.

Can I make up classes if I have missed one?
Yes, please work with your instructor and the makeup class schedule to make up any missed sessions. You will not be permitted to take your final exam until you have completed all the class sessions in the given time frame. Find make-up class schedules here

What if the class I want to attend is closed/full?
If the event is listed as closed, that means we have reached our max capacity for the event. You may place yourself on the wait list by emailing with your name, phone number and desired class location and start date to have your name added to the wait list. You will not get a registration confirmation email unless we have spots open up and you are asked to complete your registration. We recommend that you register for another available location or choose a later date.

What if I have to change my location or start date?
If you need to transfer your registration, please complete this Transfer Request along with $25 transfer fee and remit to for approval. If approved you will receive email confirmation for the new class. If not approved you will be contacted with alternative options.
